Unitech, a leading switching safety  solution provider, has been awarded Smart Interlock System contract by Consolidated  Edison Company of New York. The scope of contract includes Smart Interlock  System, Ground Wire Management System, Smart Voltage Indicator and Smart Key  Cabinet. 

Consolidated Edison Company of New York  (Con Edison), a regulated utility, provides electric service in New York City and  most of Westchester County. The Unitech Smart Interlock System is  designed to minimize switching errors in electrical substations for increased  safety and reliability of the power grid. Statistics show most switching errors  are caused by human error, which can be minimized with the proper interlocking  design.
